Member Notes:

Light bodied in appearance, dark brown in color with a soda-like carbonation. I could smell this all day long. Sweet, woody, alcoholic, slightly bourbonish. When I die I want this on my death bed. Amazing in the mouth. The day I die I want this in my hand. Perfect balance of light bodiedness, maltiness, alcohol and hops all well blended. Smooth, and with a touch of dark, candy like sweetness. This is godly. The perfect balance of all worlds. Just the right amount of everything, with enough hair on its chest to be beefy but not so much that you get hair in your teeth. I wish I could drink this every day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner... I'm in love. W: 94 - noss

Club & Brewer Notes:

Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. This is definitely a sipping beer, best served in a brandy snifter. This ale pairs well with dark chocolate and sturdy cheeses. Note: Sucaba is the beer formerly known as Abacus until the Winter 2012 release.
