Stone’s 13th Anniversary beer steers the series in more of a direction that I’m, personally, more impressed with. It pours a muddy, dark brown color with a dense, light brown head and thick lacing. This is a serious drink! Its aroma is of resin, malt, and hops. It has a heavy, yet subdued hop flavor, followed by a typical Stone strong ale body and finish. Warmth from the alcohol and some residual hops leave the finish bitter and strong, but not all-consuming. - noss
