Our Stepchild American Red Ale is quite different from a traditional Irish Red. This beer celebrates the popular hop-addict influence with a deep red color and sweet maltiness. Fresh citrusy hops and a sweet malty aroma make this beer similar to an American IPA but with more coffee-like roastiness with a beautiful red hue, just like your favorite stepchild. The Red has more sweet malt characteristics than traditionally found in an American IPA. This medium-alcohol beer of approximately 5.5% ABV fits perfectly into the Riff Raff Brewing Company beer portfolio. You can’t beat it!

A roasty scotch ale with a hint of smoke. Full-bodied, but not overpowering. Smokey, but not in a creepy bar kind of way. Sweet, but not obnoxiously so. Sound like your ideal mother-in-law? Fair enough, but it also is a pretty dead-on description of our Scotch Ale. In a difficult hop-growing climate, Scottish brewers relied on other ingredients to impart flavor and bitterness – one such ingredient was smoked malt. Drafty Kilt is a dark, malty bombshell of a beer.
